MET Gala 2021: Confira os looks que bombaram no evento
Um dos eventos mais esperados do mundo da moda nos Estados Unidos, o tradicional MET Gala finalmente está de volta. O evento, que foi adiado em 2020 devido à pandemia da Covid-19, aconteceu na noite desta segunda-feira (13), no Metropolitan Museum of Art, em Nova York. Para convidados exclusivíssimos (nunca se sabe exatamente quem vai marcar presença antes do evento), mas sempre com direito a muitoas celebridades na lista, a ideia é levantar fundos para a nova exibição do Instituto de Moda do renomado Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Com ele, vem seu “red carpet”, considerado tão grandioso quanto o Oscar – que este ano foi bege. Entre os destaques, estão ninguém menos que Anitta, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian e Kendall Jenner, o rapper Lil Nas X, Rihanna, a tenista Naomi Osaka, a atriz Maisie Williams, o ator Dan Levy e muitos outros.
Transmitido pela primeira vez ao público pelas redes sociais da Vogue ameriacana, o baile de gala sempre tem um tema que influencia diretamente no look dos convidados. Desta vez, a independência americana foi o que norteaou o dress code da edição. A exposição foi dividida em duas partes: “Na América: Um Léxico da Moda”, da última segunda-feira, e “Na América: Uma Antologia da Moda”, que estreará no dia 5 de maio de 2022, mês oficial do evento. Este ano, o ator Timothée Chalamet, a cantora Billie Eilish, a jogadora de tênis japonesa Naomi Osaka e a poetisa Amanda Gorman são os co-anfitriões.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY NO MET GALA?
Kim Kardashian não perdeu a MET Gala 2021 e arrasou no evento com um look de Balenciaga no melhor estilo de ‘American Horror Story’. A empresária postou em seu Instagram seu visual completo para a noite de gala e ganhou em menos de uma hora quase 2 milhões de ‘likes’.

A Gala do MET é um evento beneficente que marca o início da exposição de moda anual do Instituto de Moda e Costume do Museu Metropolitano de Arte de Nova York, e todo o dinheiro arrecadado se transforma no próprio orçamento do instituto.
A festa é co-dirigida por Anna Wintour, editora da revista de moda Vogue.
